REFERENCES FROM THE FIELD OF DENTAL PRACTICES, MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY AND ORTHODONTICS
 

Description:

The dental practice is located in a building in the industrial district of Wettingen near Baden.

The entire building is heated and cooled by means of component cooling. Due to this component cooling, it was not possible to install a closed ceiling in practice. In order to ensure sound absorption, acoustic measures had to be taken first by installing baffles from Archisonic.

To make the rooms more interesting, we interrupted the length of the corridor by moving the walls of the examination rooms, thus making it more relaxed. On the opposite side, the operating rooms were glazed towards the corridor to allow as much light as possible into the corridor. At the same time, a foil was provided to ensure discretion. The shape of the foil is intended to imitate water waves and was designed and developed by Studioarchimed in collaboration with the company Neoprop. The theme of water and waves was a request from the client.

Particularities:

We had Studio Archimed design the lighting concept. The lighting from Prolicht varies depending on the room. They are either arranged linearly so that they adapt to the ceiling structure of the baffles, or they are arranged in a rounded shape for the reception, corridor and staff areas.

​

The color of the lights in the operating rooms is white so that they do not stand out and are integrated into the baffles. The same applies to the public area, where the ceiling is black. The lights are also black. Here, too, the focus is on the lighting effect and not on the lights themselves.

​

The reception area stands out for its elegance and materiality. We chose Neolith Black Obsession Silk as the material, with sides, cover and front made of Neolith Himalaya Crystal Ultrasoft.

The representative lights from Occhio hang above the reception area. Here we chose the Mito Volo in bronze.
